Notices
The notices tab shows service alerts for the GO Transit network, sourced from both GoTrack and GO Transit directly. A badge on the tab icon indicates how many unread notices are waiting.
Read a notice
Each notice card shows:
- Title: a short summary of the alert.
- Affected stations: listed beneath the title when the notice applies to specific stations.
- Message: the full details of the alert.
- Published date: shown in the bottom-right corner of the card.
- Link button: some notices include a button that opens a related webpage for further reading.
Filter notices
Notices can be filtered to reduce noise. Tap the filter icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner and choose one of two options:
- Line name: shows all notices affecting your currently selected line.
- Station pair: shows notices that mention either of your currently selected origin or destination stations.
Switch between GoTrack and GO Transit notices
Notices are grouped into two sections within the list:
- From GoTrack: alerts published directly by the app, such as feature announcements or schedule advisories.
- From GO Transit: alerts sourced from GO Transit’s own feed, such as delays, cancellations, or station closures.
Both sections appear automatically when there are notices to show in each category.
Refresh notices
Pull down on the notice list to manually refresh and fetch the latest alerts. Notices also refresh automatically in the background periodically.
Change which line’s notices appear
Notices are scoped to your selected line across the whole app. See Change route.
Clear the unread badge
The badge on the notices tab clears as soon as you open the tab. Switching to any other tab and returning will not re-trigger the badge for notices that you have already seen.
